SPOTLIGHT – ATHENA

My name is Athena and I am a patient living with HS.

My husband passed away from Kidney Disease this year and in the months since, I find myself hiking any chance I get. Mother Nature, my dog and my best friends have been the best therapy for my broken heart.

I’m also a pro at Mario Kart Tour and my obsession is reflected in the Screen Time report that iPhone gives you every week.

My passion is HS Advocacy. I am a Director for Hope for HS and the Patient Lead for the Hershey Chapter. The support groups are the most rewarding work I’ve ever done. I spent years without a voice for my HS. In these groups I found mine and now I get to help others find theirs.
